  • Author: Harry
  • Total Time: 25-30 minutes
  • Yield: 6-8 servings 1x

Description

This creamy and flavorful spinach dip is a perfect appetizer or party snack, blending cream cheese, sour cream, garlic, and cheeses with tender spinach. Baked until bubbly and golden, it pairs wonderfully with bread, baguette slices, or crackers for dipping.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 10 ounces frozen spinach, thawed and drained
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and prepare a 1-quart baking dish by spraying it with non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Mix Cream Base: In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese and sour cream. Use a hand mixer to blend them together until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  3. Add Flavorings and Cheese: Stir in minced garlic, onion powder, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, kosher salt, and black pepper into the creamy base. Gently fold in the thawed and well-drained spinach until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  4. Bake the Dip: Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish. Place it in the preheated oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the dip is heated through and bubbly on top.
  5. Serve Warm: Remove from oven and serve the spinach dip warm with sliced bread, baguette slices, or crackers for dipping and enjoying.

Notes

  • Ensure spinach is well drained to avoid a watery dip.
  • You can substitute frozen spinach with fresh spinach that has been cooked and thoroughly drained.
  • For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes or chopped artichokes.
  • Serve immediately for warm dip, or cover and refrigerate for up to 2 days; reheat before serving.
  • This dip can be made ahead of time and baked just before serving.
