  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Cook the turkey bacon: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the turkey bacon slices until they are crispy. Remove from the skillet and chop into small pieces.
  2. Prepare the patties: In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, and chopped turkey bacon. Mix thoroughly, then shape the mixture into evenly sized patties.
  3. Layer ingredients in slow cooker: Place the sliced onions and minced garlic at the bottom of the slow cooker. Arrange the turkey patties on top of the onions and garlic.
  4. Make and add sauce: In a separate bowl, mix together the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and sliced mushrooms. Pour this mixture evenly over the patties in the slow cooker.
  5. Cook low and slow: Cover the slow cooker and cook on the low setting for 6 hours, or until the turkey patties are cooked through and tender.
  6. Thicken the gravy: Before serving, mix the cornstarch with a small amount of cold water to create a slurry. Stir this into the sauce in the slow cooker to thicken it, then let it cook for an additional 10-15 minutes until thickened.
