- 1 ½ cups water
- ½ tsp. dried leaf thyme (not ground)
- ½ tsp. dried leaf oregano (not ground)
- ½ tsp. black pepper

- 16 oz. sour cream
- 8 oz. egg noodles (cooked according to package directions on the stovetop)
Instructions
- Prepare Ingredients: Place the cubed beef stew meat, diced onion, and sliced mushrooms into the slow cooker.
- Add Seasonings: Sprinkle the dried leaf thyme, dried leaf oregano, and black pepper evenly over the meat and vegetables.
- Mix Gravy: In a small bowl, whisk together 1 ½ cups of water and the two brown gravy packets until smooth. Pour this mixture over the beef and vegetables in the slow cooker.
- Slow Cook: Cover and cook on low heat for 8 hours or on high heat for 4 hours. Avoid opening the lid during the cooking process to maintain the temperature and moisture.
- Finish with Sour Cream: After cooking, add the sour cream to the slow cooker and stir until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
- Prepare Noodles and Serve: Cook the egg noodles according to package directions on the stovetop. Drain well, then add the noodles to the stroganoff mixture in the slow cooker. Stir to combine. Season with salt and additional pepper to taste, then serve hot.
