Ingredients
Scale
Chocolate Base
- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
Additional Ingredients
- 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 hot chocolate packets (or 6 tablespoons hot chocolate mix)
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Topping
- 3 cups mini marshmallows
Instructions
- Prepare the Pan: Line an 8×8 inch pan or casserole dish with parchment paper or foil and lightly spray it with non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Melt Ingredients: In a double boiler over medium heat, combine the milk chocolate chips, semi-sweet chocolate chips, and butter. Stir continuously to prevent burning.
- Add Condensed Milk and Hot Chocolate Mix: Stir in the sweetened condensed milk and hot chocolate powder until the mixture is completely melted and smooth. If not using a double boiler, microwave the mixture in a microwave-safe bowl by heating for 45 seconds, stirring, then reheating in 15-second intervals until melted.
- Add Vanilla and Marshmallows: Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract, then gently fold in 2 cups of mini marshmallows.
- Pour and Top: Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan. Spread evenly. Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of mini marshmallows on top and gently press them into the fudge to adhere.
- Chill: Cover the pan and refrigerate for at least 4 hours to allow the fudge to set before serving.
Notes
- You can use a microwave for melting if you don’t have a double boiler—just be sure to stir frequently to avoid burning.
- For firmer fudge, chill overnight.
- Mini marshmallows on top add extra texture and a fun visual appeal.
- Store leftover fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
