Ingredients
Scale
Ingredients
- 3 cups fresh grated coconut
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 100°C (200°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper and set it aside to prepare for drying the coconut evenly.
- Prepare Coconut: Place the fresh grated coconut into a blender and pulse several times until the coconut becomes fine and evenly sized.
- Spread and Bake: Spread the finely blended coconut evenly in a single layer on the prepared baking tray. Place it in the oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes to ensure even drying.
- Check Moisture: After the initial baking, check if the coconut is completely dry. If it still has moisture, return it to the oven for an additional 5 minutes.
- Cool and Store: Remove the dried coconut from the oven and allow it to cool completely. Store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator to maintain freshness.
Notes
- Ensure low oven temperature to avoid browning and preserve the natural coconut flavor.
- Stirring regularly prevents uneven drying and clumping.
- Use an airtight container to extend shelf life and prevent moisture absorption.
