Strawberry Crunch Topping

- ¾ cup powdered sugar, sifted
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ⅛ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Prepare Strawberry Crunch Topping: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a small baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat and set aside.
- Crush Cookies: Place golden Oreo cookies in a small food processor or high-speed blender and pulse for 30-60 seconds until finely crushed. Transfer crumbs to a bowl.
- Mix with Butter and Gelatin: In a separate bowl, combine melted butter and strawberry gelatin powder, stirring until fully dissolved. Add this mixture to the crushed cookie crumbs and stir to combine, producing a two-toned crunchy texture.
- Bake Crumbs: Spread the crumbs evenly on the prepared baking sheet in a thin layer. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until lightly golden. Remove from oven and cool completely. Break apart any large clumps before use.
- Prepare Strawberries: Rinse fresh strawberries under cool water and pat dry thoroughly. Remove green leaves and slice strawberries in half lengthwise. Arrange on a serving platter with the cut side facing up.
- Make Cream Cheese Filling: In a large bowl, beat softened cream cheese with a handheld mixer on medium speed for 1-2 minutes until smooth and creamy.
- Add Remaining Filling Ingredients: Gradually add powdered sugar and beat on low until incorporated. Then add heavy cream, vanilla extract, and salt. Continue beating for 1-2 minutes until the filling is light and creamy.
- Assemble Deviled Strawberries: Using a teaspoon or piping bag fitted with a decorative tip, dollop approximately 1½ teaspoons of the cream cheese filling onto the cut side of each strawberry half.
- Finish with Crunch Topping: Sprinkle the cooled strawberry crunch topping evenly over the cream cheese dollops on each strawberry half.
